The beach of Alcúdia is considered to among the best in Europe, a paradise of warm crystal-clear waters and fine white sand.

 

Located in the north of Mallorca near to Port Alcúdia and the incredible medieval town of Alcúdia,  it is an amazingly long, wide ,white sandy beach which is kept extremely clean and  well cared for.

 

The beautiful Alcudia beach is almost 3,5 km long, ideal for everyone, both children and adults love this beach. It is immensely popular with both residents and tourists, with a great diversity of hotels within walking distance of the beach.

Alcudia Beach is characterized by its calm and exceptionally clean waters. There is long walkway running along the beach where you will find shops, restaurants, cafes, and accommodation. Along the walkway there are plenty of benches to sit and watch the world go by.

 

The  busiest section is nearest to the Port d´ Alcúdia, but because the beach is wide and long it never feels saturated, there is always room to lay down your towel and plenty of sunbeds available to hire for the day.

 

 Alcúdia beach´s  is fully accessible by car, with ample free parking, as well as having plenty of bus stops for tourist buses and public buses linking the area to the surrounding towns.

Security

 

The beach of Alcúdia in Mallorca is one of the safest, with lifeguards patrolling the shoreline during May to October and it is disabled friendly with plenty of easy access points onto the beach.

Best beaches in Alcúdia

 

Alcúdia has some of the best beaches on the island of Mallorca. So far, we have only talked about Playa de Alcúdia, the main beach, but there are others not too far from Alcúdia which offer a different setting to the main Alcúdia beach and are definitely worth exploring.

 

                Es Coll Baix

 

 7.5 km  from Alcúdia, accessible by walking or by boat, it is well worth visiting.  A wide and straight sea inlet that finishes on a spectacular beach, surrounded by breathtaking steep rocky cliffs, Es Coll Baix really is nature at its finest.

 

                Alcanada

 

Alcanada is ideal for families or people looking for a quieter environment. This beach is about 200 metres long and has crystal clear waters with a sandy bottom. You will see quite a number of small boats anchored off its shoreline.

Nearby you can find the famous Alcanada golf course with a restaurant and parking, there is also a supermarket about 10mins away.

 

The most remarkable thing about this beach is that it has a small islet with a lighthouse, you can walk or swim across to the explore. It is an amazing place to visit , surrounded by sea and nature of incomparable beauty.

 

                Can Capdebou

 

 A narrow but long beach; located next to the road that goes from Alcudia to Port de Pollença. Popular with residents of the island and kite surf fans. The beach is of fine sand mixed with small stones, of a somewhat dark tone similar to metal. On windy days, the colours of the kite surfers are a sight to behold, on quiet still days there are very few people on the beach.
