Water parks in Mallorca

A trip to the waterpark is one of the best ways to have an amazing fun packed day out, especially when surrounded by some spectacular views of Mallorca.

Water parks have something to suit everyone, from adrenaline junkies to those who just want to relax in the sun while their friends enjoy the water attractions.

Most of the waterparks here on the idyllic island of Mallorca are set in lovely surroundings, places with green areas to relax or play a round of mini golf.

Hidropark Alcudia

Hidropark Alcudia, as well as being the first family water park to open in Mallorca, is the only one located in the wonderful, north of Mallorca. It has up to 23 different areas where you can enjoy yourselves, from water slides, wave pools, slow rivers, children's play areas, paddling pools and jacuzzies, among others. 

One of the park's most popular attractions is the Kamikaze, a high-speed water slide that defies gravity and offers a thrilling adrenaline-filled experience. Following close behind is another slide called Tornado which provides another unique and exhilarating experience.

Hidropark Alcudia is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in a world of fun, leave your stresses behind and enjoy a day full of laughter and fun! 

Depending on the time of year, the opening times vary. In May, June, September and October the opening hours are from 10:00 to 17:00. However, during the hottest months, when there are more visitors to the island, July and August, its doors are open from 10:00 to 18:00. 

Recommendations for visiting The Hidropark Alcudia

If you do decide to go and spend a wonderful summer day at the Hidropark Alcudia, then to ensure you make the most of your day, we would like to recommend the following.

First of all, and most importantly, take sun cream with you, the best ones have plenty of protection, and the higher the SPF the better. Sometimes, we don’t realise the intensity of the sun, and because we are in and out of the water all the time, enjoying the attractions the sun cream can wash off. Also, we are often unaware of the ultraviolet rays catching our bodies, but the summer sun in Mallorca is scorching and it is very important to protect yourself. There is nothing worse and more painful than sunburn, it can ruin a holiday. And don’t forget to re-apply the cream at regular intervals throughout the day, especially if you are in and out of the water.

It is also important to remember to keep hydrated, whilst you are not permitted to take the food into the Hidropark Alcudia, you can take in bottled water as long as it is not in glass bottles and don’t worry if you run out, there are plenty of vending machines to buy more.

Get your photo taken!! There is a professional photographer onsite, who for a small fee is happy to take your photo. Why not get yourself a great souvenir of you coming down at great speed on the Kamikaze slide?

In addition, the Hidropark has lockers and sunbeds available for its visitors, the lockers are great to leave your backpack and any other valuables you might have, allowing you to make the most of the attractions, but remember the lockers and sunbeds are considered an extra service, they are not included in the ticket price.
