One of the best things about Alcudia is the range of beaches it has to offer. From secluded coves to long, sandy beaches, there is something to suit all tastes. Some of Alcudia's best beaches include Coll Baix, Playa de Muro and Son Serra de Marina.

Coll Baix

The Coll Baix beach in Alcúdia is one of the island's most spectacular and lesser-known beaches. This marvellous beach is located on the north coast of Mallorca, less than 10 km from Alcúdia, located off the beaten track, it is a hidden paradise well worth discovering during your summer holidays in Mallorca.

The path to the beach can be steep and slippery in some sections, but the panoramic views of the coast and out to sea, make the walk an unforgettable experience.

Once you reach the beach, you are met with a landscape straight out of a magazine. A beach with fine white sand surrounded by rocky cliffs and amazingly clear waters with the colour of an intense turquoise blue. Coll Baix Beach is the perfect place to relax and disconnect, far from the hustle and bustle and crowds of the island's more popular beaches. 

If you decide to spend the day and visit Coll Baix Beach in Alcúdia, we recommend that you take everything you need with you for the day, there are no bars or amenities on the beach. It is also advisable to wear comfortable sturdy footwear for the walk along the path and don’t forget sun protection to ensure you enjoy the summer sun in Mallorca safely. 

Muro Beach

The Muro Beach is a little piece of paradise just a 10-minute drive from our Hotel Astoria Playa. It is a perfect beach to enjoy time with friends and family and has plenty of fun activities for everyone. 

The beach runs along the bay for more than five kilometres, often considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Spain, thanks to its soft white sand, crystal-clear waters, and natural surroundings. It is ideal both for sun worshippers and sea lovers alike, as well as for those looking for water sports and activities.

One of the most interesting features of this beach is that it is divided into three distinctly different sectors, each with its own charm. The southernmost section is known as "Es Comú” and is the quietest and most secluded. This section is surrounded by dunes of sand and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the summer in Mallorca.

The central section of Muro Beach is the busiest and liveliest. Known locally as "Platja de Muro", this stretch has a wide variety of services and activities, such as restaurants, bars, beach umbrellas and sun loungers for rent, and water activities.

The northernmost section of the beach is known as "Can Picafort” and is the closest to the town of Alcúdia. This part of the beach has a wide variety of tourist accommodation and services, as well as a wide range of restaurants and bars.

Son Serra de Marina 

Son Serra de Marina is a gorgeous beach, also located in the North of Mallorca, roughly 10 km away from Alcúdia. With a coastline of more than 1 km in total, this beach is renowned for its clear waters and its calm, relaxed, and chilled-out almost Bohemian, atmosphere.

The first thing that strikes you about the beach of Son Serra de Marina is its striking natural surroundings. The beach offers a unique landscape and a sense of peace that is hard to find on other beaches.

In addition to enjoying the beach, visitors can explore the area surrounding Son Serra de Marina, which offers a wide variety of activities. For example, the area has numerous hiking and cycling routes, the perfect opportunity to explore unfamiliar places during your trip out. From here, it is also possible to visit the Parc Natural de S’Albufera de Mallorca, a protected area with a wide variety of unique local fauna and flora.
