However, we would like to recommend two completely different types, which we think, you will simply love.

Glass Bottom Boats

Boats with a glass bottom, are the perfect way to explore beneath the waves, without having to get wet or carry a heavy oxygen cylinder. If you are travelling with children, taking a trip on a glass-bottom boat around the bay of Alcúdia is an extra special treat, the little ones are always fascinated by the mysteries that hide on the seabed. Don´t worry! There are plenty of mysteries for the adults to discover as well, get up close to the wonderful sea life that lives beneath the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean.

Jet boat

The Alcúdia boat excursions aboard a Jet Boat are not suitable for the faint-hearted, Jet Boats reach breakneck speeds, jumping waves and making incredible twists and turns. So, if you are an adrenalin junkie then discovering the secret places along the coast of Alcúdia by jet boat certainly won´t disappoint you!

The Coves of Alcúdia

The Coves of Alcúdia are among the most beautiful in Mallorca, these are hidden corners of the Mallorcan shoreline and with their crystal-clear waters are some of the best places to relax and enjoy the Mallorcan climate. But there are times you want something a little more special. That is why the Alcúdia boat trips stop off at some of the most iconic, harder to get to, beaches on the island, they are the perfect way to get to know these hidden gems. Our personal favourites in Mallorca are Es Coll Baix and Alcanada Beach.

Es Coll Baix

Es Coll Baix is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most impressive coves in Mallorca. This spectacular bay with its crystal-clear waters is located under an imposing cliff, giving it a unique atmosphere of solitude and tranquility. Any visit to Es Coll Baix is an incredible experience, but going by sea takes it to another level, only then can you truly appreciate the incredible natural aquatic environment of this cove, a truly unforgettable experience.

Alcanada Beach

Alcanada Beach is another one of those places in Alcúdia that will leave you speechless. This wonderful beach is located away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of Alcúdia, which means that it offers in an almost unspoiled natural environment. Another of its charms, is the Island of Alcanada, an imposing islet crowned by its very own lighthouse. By visiting this beach by boat, you have access to Alcanada's Island and can discover all the secrets this fantastic place has to offer.

Boat rental in Alcudia

Alcudia boat trips are an excellent way to discover the hidden secrets of the Mallorcan coast. However, we know that travelling with a large group or being surrounded by large numbers of sightseers can sometimes be a little overpowering. If you want a private and more exclusive experience, we recommend that you try Alcudia's boat rental options.

Many people believe that a license is required to pilot a boat, but that´s only if the boat exceeds 5 meters in length and has more than 15hp. If you want to experience navigation first-hand, renting a boat and exploring Alcudia Bay at your leisure, is a great option.

If you want the freedom to sail where you please but don't dare to take the helm, you can always opt to hire a boat with a captain in Alcudia. This way, you only have to worry about deciding where to take your next dip in the cooling waters of the Mediterranean.

Visit Menorca

Alcudia is on the east coast of Mallorca and is the starting point for ferries heading to Menorca. The trip only takes two hours, so catching the first ferry of the day and returning in the evening makes a great day out; giving you a chance to get to know a little more about one of the most wonderful islands in the Balearic archipelago. Menorca is much smaller than Mallorca, so it is easy to explore in just a single day. If you do decide to make a day of it, don´t miss out these amazing places in Menorca.

Binibequer

A must stop on your visit to Menorca, the town of Binibequer was built in 1972, based upon an old fishing village. Don't be put off by its lack of authenticity, it is one of the most charming places on the island. Its narrow streets are the perfect place to explore and get to know what life was like for the Menorcan’s in the past. Furthermore, it is, perhaps, the most instagrammable place on the island.

Fàvaritx lighthouse

One of the main tourist attractions in Menorca are its lighthouses. These imposing constructions are scattered throughout the island and are the perfect place to watch the sunset or sunrise. They are all very pretty, but if we had to choose one single lighthouse among all those in Menorca, we would choose the Faro de Fàvartix. This impressive building is in the Natural Park of s'Alburfera des Grau, it stands alone, undisturbed by other buildings. A visit to the Faro de Fàvaritx is, unquestionably, an experience that will make feel as you have been transported to another planet.

Hotel Astoria Playa

Whether you want to explore Alcudia from the sea, or if you prefer to do it from dry land, you will want to stay in the best accommodation Alcudia has to offer, and speaking of the best, Hotel Astoria Playa is at the top of the list: the perfect place in Alcudia for an unforgettable holiday.
